Entire stretches of narrow roads are covered with the dense growth of Eucalyptus, Jacaranda, Allamanda, Gulmohar and many other species. Chenchu tribes live here with their famous Pungannur cows, who eat less fodder but yield more milk. A 150-year-old Eucalyptus tree "Kalyani" is also an attraction at Horsley Hills. About 87-km away from the hillock is the Kaundinya wild life sanctuary.
