Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1 (Arrival at Bagdogra airport/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station-
Darjeeling)
After the arrival at the Bagdogra airport or the railway station you will
be greeted by our representative and then you will be transfered to hotel in
Darjeeling (4 hours drive). The evening time in Darjeeling is a leisure
time. After this we can enjoy the lip smacking dishes of Darjeeling and
overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 (Sightseeing activity at Darjeeling)
During the sightseeing activity in Darjeeling we can visit the Ghoom
monastery, Batasia loop, Darjeeling Zoo, HMI, Tea Garden, Ava Art Gallery,
Tibetan refugee center, Tenzing rock and Race course. After having the
sightseeing tour we will get back to the hotel for the dinner and overnight
stay.
Day 3 (Darjeeling- Gangtok) 4 hours taken
After having breakfast in the early morning, we will drive to Gangtok. En
route visit to Rumtek monastery. On the arrival in Gangtok, we will check in
the hotel and in evening we can go for shopping at main market of Gangtok.
The main shopping areas are Lal market, Old market, New market where the
handicrafts are the popular items. The paintings, canvas, the wall hanging,
woolen carpets, jewelery and precious stones are some items that people buy
from the market.
Day 4 (Gangtok- Kalimpong) 4 hours taken
After having breakfast, we will move along the blue colored Teesta river
where you can also enjoy the adventure of River Rafting (at extra cost).
After the tour to the Teesta river we will move to Half day tour to
Kalimpong which covers the cactus nursery and the famous Zand Dog Palri
monastery. In the evening, you may relax or you can also go on for shopping
in the market. After enjoying the whole day, we will return back to hotel
for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 (Kalimpong)
After having the breakfast, one can go for the sightseeing in Kalimpong
that includes the cactus nursery and the most popular Zang Dog Palri
monastery. In the evening you are having the choice to relax or to go for
shopping in the market. After traveling in Kalimpong, we will get back to
the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 (Kalimpong- Bagdogra/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station)
After having the breakfast, we will drive back to Bagdogra airport/ New
Jalpaiguri railway station for the onwards journey.
